One of my stunning June brides was the lovely Jen. She married Mike at St Mary's Church in Norton followed on by the Treebridge Hotel. Jen's makeup was natural but glam with cool pink undertones that complimented her complexion perfectly. The beautiful images below were taken by the talented Amy Lou Photography.
Last month I travelled over to Penrith in the Lake District to makeup the beautiful Annabel and her bridal party for the wedding the following day. Blencowe Hall was an amazing setting to get Annabel, her seven lovely bridesmaids, mother of the bride and mother of the groom ready. Due to the amount of lovely faces I had to do, we made a really early start time of 6am and I managed to get all the girls ready for the 11:30am wedding!
I did Annabel's makeup for her hen party and she liked the eye shadow we used so we tried it again on the trial and it was perfect! At the trial she tried a rose coloured lipstick and was happy with it, but on the day decided on a last minute red lip! Annabel said that she was so used to wearing a bright colour, it didn't feel right on her to choose a typical bridal lipstick. The Chanel lipstick she wore looked amazing on her.
For the bevy of beautiful bridesmaids, Annabel decided she wanted them to have a look similar to hers but different colours while still remaining natural and pretty. Some choose to have lashes and some didn't, and each choose a lighter or fuller coverage base to suit their individual skin types and preferences, however they are all worn the same bronzey eye and a perfect nude pink lip. The shade is a staple in my kit Charlotte Tillbury's Bitch Perfect. This looked amazing with their navy dresses.

In March I had the pleasure of being a Bridesmaid for my two best friends Rachelle and Peter. My husband was an Usher and we were both so excited and honoured to be part of their wedding day.
Naturally I wanted to do Rachelle's bridal makeup. It is a pleasure to do any bride's makeup, but its super special when you can do it for your friend, and I was so chuffed when she asked me to.
Knowing Rachelle like I do, it was an unspoken understanding of what she wanted on the day. We shared a Pinterest board, but I already planned what products to use on her before the trial and even knew the perfect lipstick shade. Throughout the years I've known Rachelle she has always worn a red lip so that had to be the only choice! Nars Rita suited her perfectly, completed with a classic smokey eye. A strong look that Rachelle can pull off with ease due to her naturally tanned skin and dark hair.
Rachelle and Peter were married at St Cuthberts Church in Great Ayton, North Yorkshire, followed by the reception at Whinstone View Barn. The wedding couldn't of been more perfect. A fantastic day was had by all!
I hope you enjoy the pictures below that were beautifully taken and kindly shared by Sarah Jane Ethan

So back in February I got the pleasure of getting the lovely Chelsie ready for her wedding to husband to be Chris at Crathorne Hall. Chelsie wanted a classic bridal makeup but with a statement winged linger, which suited her perfectly.
Here's a few images of the gorgeous morning provided by the lovely Natalie Pluck Photography
For those of you who follow me on social media you’ll have heard me talk about Charlotte Tilbury. Charlotte is a world renowned Makeup Artist who has worked on the likes of Kate Moss, Kim Kardasian, Jennifer Lopez, and done countless Vogue covers. I was over the moon when I heard she was launching her own line of luxury products, and I wasn't disappointed!
I use her products personally and have a lot in my kit too, so I thought I would review a few of them, the first is her famous Magic Cream.
Named so by the 90’s Supermodels that loved the secret mix Charlotte would make backstage, they called it this as it would rejuvenate their tired jet lagged skin ready for the catwalk.
Contained in large heavy weight vintage style glass pot with a rose gold lid, it looks stunning on your dresser and gives an old Hollywood feeling to it.
The cream itself is thick and luxurious; it contains SPF 15 and some beautiful ingredients which such as hyaluronic acid, damask rose water, rosehip oil which makes it a treat for your skin.
Say hello to Elise, one of my stunning September brides!
On the morning of her wedding to David, the preparations were held at their home, surrounded by all of her bridesmaids and family. Elise and David were married at St Andrews Church and had their reception at Hall Garth Hotel in Darlington.
Elise knew what she wanted in terms of her wedding makeup. She wanted a good full coverage base and knew she wanted a bright pink lip as she wouldn't feel right without a bright lipstick on her wedding day! A girl after my own heart! The colour she chose was a Nars Audacious Lipstick called Natalie. I teamed this with a subtle mauve matte eye shadow, to make her gorgeous green eyes pop; this also tied in with her purple colour theme that ran throughout the day. The Bridesmaids wore Cadbury purple and each choose a slightly different makeup look to suit their individual taste.
Back on a beautiful day in July I travelled over to Bolton Castle in Leyburn, it's not every day you get to 'work' at a medieval castle that is over 600 years old and I was excited to say the least! Not only for the location, but to be apart of the fantastic shoot ahead for the Autumn/Winter 2015 Yorkshire edition of Belle Bridal Magazine.
The first wedding of a very busy August for me, was of the lovely Truley and Nathan, who were married at The Old Deanery in Ripon, a beautiful venue opposite the Cathedral. It was a busy morning with eight people to get ready for the ceremony at 11am, an early start, but an enjoyable relaxed morning!
This month I had the pleasure of working with North by East, a contemporary choreography duo based in London on their debut project Breathing Space. Amy Kent local girl from North Yorkshire and Laura Ava Scott are not only fabulous choreographers and dancers but also my good friends, which made the collaboration all the better. They came up from London to the North East with two equally talented dancers Lois Noon and Michael James to shoot the short film. Michael Sreenan was the final piece of the puzzle and the producer of this amazing piece.
The brief of the makeup was a paired down style to suit each character's different backgrounds. All the character's were going through problems and issues in their life, and the makeup was to mirror this, including giving dark circles rather than taking them away!
We worked over two days and four different locations around North Yorkshire late into the evening. I thoroughly enjoyed myself working with such a fab team. Make sure you check out the fantastic video shot and edited by Michael below and let me know what you think!
Back in July I had the pleasure of getting Rebecca ready to marry Robert at a beautiful vintage inspired wedding at one of my favourite venues in the area Danby Castle. Rebecca and I had been in talks for over a year about her wedding. She wanted something to suit her stunning Justin Alexander dress and the vintage vision she hoped for the day. At her trial, Rebecca fell in love with a deep burgundy lip called Charlotte from Nars, we kept the rest of her makeup simple with a clean black liner and some Ardell lashes to give some drama to her eyes and compliment the bold lip. I also made up Rebecca's lovely Mum and Bridesmaids keeping with the pastel theme of their Kate Fearnley bridesmaid dresses. Jonathan from Hair by Proud did a fantastic job of the girls hair. The beautiful images are taken and provided by the lovely Natalie Pluck.
I think Rebecca looked absolutely stunning and achieved the vintage movie star look she wanted!
